“ Wonderful atmosphere, great food, just right portions. A bit overpriced but it's a lakeside resort in the rocky mountains. Highly recommend the bison and the sable fish. The beet salad was pretty great too, just remember you had beets the next day. Had breakfast there too, the standard fare with eggs and hash browns was excellent. Overall very accommodating with allergies and preferences too. ”

“ Menu was tantalizing. I was thrilled to see so many gluten free options , all which tasted so wonderful! Portions were generous and filling. The food was cooked to absolute perfection. Steak was a tad tough for a strip-loin, none the less was enjoyable and full of flavour. You can’t beat the view/sun set while dining here. Red wine could be stored to be a little cooler as the restaurant is warm, bringing the bottle above proper serving temperature for even a red. Service was good, well spoken and enjoyed. With that being said, attentiveness could be improved on. Will always come back to this spot, love eating here as much as I do staying here. Double kudos to the chef who designed and cooks this menu. You are clearly a talent filled with passion. ”
“ Had an absolutely lovely time here. Came for drinks and appetizers after check in to watch the sunset over the mountains. Our server Eleri was top notch. Her drinks were fabulous and her professional and courteous service made this place stand out as a new favorite. We come every year (14 years)to jasper and stay at the jasper park lodge but thought to branch out and we think this might be our new yearly getaway spot! ”
“ Spent my 30th birthday dinner here and it was fantastic. We had the sablefish and salmon tartare as appetizers. I had the bison for dinner and my partner had duck, which was the special of the evening. For dessert, we had the chocolate and the orange blossom. All the food was amazing and the atmosphere is hard to beat looking over the lake. The service was also excellent. Our server explained all the dishes to us and was incredibly friendly. We can’t say enough about how well we were treated. If you’re in Jasper, I would definitely recommend stopping in for a meal at Aalto. ”
“ We had dinner at Aalto on its opening night in July, while on our 5 week Canadian holiday. It was quite easily the best meal we had had. The food was sensational, the atmosphere of the restaurant was just lovely and the views over the lake from our table topped it off. We followed it up with breakfast the next morning as well. Can’t recommend this place enough! ”
“ We had dinner here while staying at the lodge. Our bill was 144 for 2, no drinks, and the food was delicious and presented beautifully. We chose the Spring package. Our entrees were divine. Our salmon mains were cooked to perfection. Dessert was also nice, although hubby was a bit disappointed with his, probably because he was expecting something different. Overall it was an excellent meal. Our server was very attentive and professional and we couldn't fault her service. We would definitely dine here again. ”
